Lok Satta Conference on Combating Corruption

To mark the International Anti Corruption Day on December 9, the Lok Satta movement is organizing a conference of prominent citizens of Hyderabad at 3-00 p.m. at the Press Club, Basheer Bagh.

Lok Satta Party national President Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan will be opening the conference to be presided over by Mr. Anwar Khan (social activist).

The participants include Prof. K. Nageswar (MLC), Mr. M. Padmanabha Reddy (Forum for Good Governance), Dr. V. B. J. Rao Chelikani (social activist), Mr. T. L. Narasimha Rao (Lok Satta), Mr. Venugopal Reddy (Ekalavya Foundation), Mr. K. Srinivasa Reddy (senior journalist), Mr. Mazhar Hussain (COVA), Mr. R. Venkat Reddy (M. V. Foundation), Mr. Loknath (Jai Bharat), and N. Premkumar (CASA).

The participants will speak on the importance of institutional arrangements, the Right to Information Act, citizen’s charters and civil society organizations in combating corruption.
